Book Condition: Very Good. Paperback. Size E: 8"-9" Tall (203-228mm). First published as a book in 1962. The second volume of Jack Lang's reminiscences of his experiences in NSW politics. The Great Bust covers the late 1920's and the Depression years. Like the first volume, I Remember, this book is often acidly amusing at the expense of Lang's many opponents, both inside and outside the Labor movement. It contains Lang's own account of the political crisis of the 1930's in which his Government was dismissed by Governor Game. (Gould's Book Arcade published this reprint under the McNamara imprint, initially a joint venture with another Sydney printed word family.) The edges of the book are lightly tanned. Several copies are avaliable. 418 pages Books listed here are not stored at the shop. Please contact us if you want to pick up a book from Newtown.
